Aristotle's Virtue Ethics

"Virtue, then, is a habit or trained faculty of choice, the characteristic of which lies in moderation or observance of the mean relatively to the persons concerned, as determined by reason, i.e. as the prudent man would determine it."

Virtue is the state of experiencing the passions and acting:

  1. at the right time
  2. with reference to the right objects
  3. towards the right people
  4. with the right motive
  5. in the right way
